What is Valt?

Valt is where fans collect limited editions from independent creators on Cardano, starting with music. Listen free, collect the work you love, and holding it unlocks that artist’s Valt: a private space only holders can open.

Can I listen before I collect?

Yes. Press play on any song and it streams free in the player at the bottom of the page, which keeps playing while you browse. You only pay if you want to own an edition.

Is Valt only for music?

Music comes first, and every release on Valt today is a song. The Valt model works for any creator whose fans want to own a piece of their work, so if you are a visual artist or another kind of creator, get in touch through the For Artists page.

What do I need to collect?

A Cardano wallet with enough ADA for the price. Press Collect on a song and approve the purchase in your wallet: for featured releases the payment and the mint happen in one transaction, right on the page; older songs open NMKR Pay. Either way the edition lands in your wallet. During the testnet preview that means a wallet set to Preprod and free test ADA: our step-by-step guide takes about five minutes.

How do I open an artist’s Valt?

Connect the wallet that holds the edition using the Connect button. Valt checks your wallet and, if you hold one of that artist’s editions, the Valt opens. Connecting on desktop needs a browser wallet extension (CIP-30).

Which wallets are supported?

Any CIP-30 Cardano wallet, including Lace, Eternl, Typhon, Vespr and Gero.

Is Valt live on Cardano mainnet?

Not yet. Valt is running on the Cardano pre-production testnet while we finish testing and security review. Editions collected now are testnet editions paid for with test ADA, not real purchases. Mainnet follows once testing is complete.

How do editions work?

Each release is a limited run of editions with a fixed supply set with the artist. Every edition is a Cardano token carrying the release’s title, artist, artwork and music details.

Do artists get paid?

Yes. We agree the terms of every release with the artist before it goes live, including the edition size, the price and how they are paid. Artists keep the rights to their work: fans collect an edition, not the rights.
